Engine exchange in Banjul / Gambia

DAKO WORLDWIDE TRANSPORT GMBH jointly with his local partner LTW-Consortium was nominated to perform the replacement of a 85 tons engine at the BRIKAMA power plant in Banjul, Gambia.

DAKO was responsible for the reception of the engine in the port of Banjul, reloading from MAFI trailer onto hydraulic trailer, the overland transport up to the jobsite and for the exchanging operation inside of the power house.

For the replacement of the destroyed engine, DAKO / LTW temporary imported a 500 tons tower lift system which was placed inside of the power house. For the performing the overland transport DAKO uses a 7-axle lines Goldhofe hydraulic trailer with a transport capacity of 220 tons. The trailer is company owned and was recently stationed in Senegal for a permanent stay and operation in West Africa.
