Power Plant for Guinea-Bissau

DAKO LTW AFRICA Ltd., a joint venture company formed between DAKO WORLDWIDE TRANSPORT GMBH and their West Africa partner LTW PROJECT LOGISTICS, were recently nominated to support a local client in Guinea-Bissau with the reception of 11 transformers from underhook incoming vessel in the port of Bissau. The scope included as well the transport of 9 of these transformers with unit weight up to 110 tons to intermediary storage places and also of some transformers to final destination in substations of the new electricity distribution system under construction. Some of the transformers were transported inside Guinea-Bissau over a distance of about 175 km.

DAKO LTW AFRICA used for this transport own equipment, a most modern hydraulic trailer, which is available in West Africa for transports of heavy and bulky cargo. The equipment can be used in the whole ECOWAS area, preferably in Senegal, Mali, Gambia, Guinea-Bissau, Guinea-Conakry and Sierra Leone.
