Giant Pipe Press for Baltic Sea Pipeline / Russia

DAKO WORLDWIDE TRANSPORT GMBH obtained jointly with DAKOTRANS, Moscow / St. Petersburg, the order for the delivery of a most modern press system for the production of big pipes to free foundation in a factory in Kolpino about 40 km from the port of St. Petersburg. It was within the scope of the order for the DAKO group to organize the unloading of the heavy components of the press with unit weights of up to 256 tons in the factory of Kolpino, further the interior transport in the factory to the place of final erection by means of a tower lift system with a capacity of 1000 tons, the turning of some of the pieces to make them ready for erection as well as the erection of the complete press system itself.

DAKO obtained jointly with DAKOTRANS Moscow/St. Petersburg, the order for the delivery of a most modern press system for the production of big pipes to free foundation in a factory in Kolpino, about 40 km from the port of St. Petersburg.

The erection was subcontracted to P. WIRZIUS SCHWERMONTAGE GMBH. The necessary tower lift system with a capacity of 1000 tons was transported by DAKO with a total of 10 truck loads from Germany to Russia. DAKOTRANS of St. Petersburg organized the temporary import of the tower lift system as well as after successful erection of the press the re-export of the special equipment and the timely transportation back to Germany.
