Gas Power Station To Butte / Montana / USA

DAKO WORLDWIDE TRANSPORT GMBH has been awarded the transportation of a 60 MW gas power plant, which is constructed in Butte in the beautiful state of Montana / USA. The plant consists of a total of 9 heavy engines with unit weights of 82 tons each, the necessary generators and an important amount of other equipment.

The transportation was done by liner vessel from Bremen to Houston. The gas engines were on-carried by special heavy duty rail road cars to a rail siding next to the new power plant in Butte / Montana. All other equipment was on-carried by truck. DAKO with its partners UTC OVERSEAS INC. were also responsible for the delivery onto foundation at the final plant site. The erection is done by means of a 300 tons capacity crawler crane.
